Seth Lane, who is from Northamptonshire in England and only just 5 years old, has a rare disease, Severe Combined immunodeficiency (SCID) — also known as “bubble boy” disease which requires him to be in isolation – sterile environment. All Seth is asking you to do today is to #WearYellowForSeth because that is his favourite colour.
Today, people from all over the world are wearing yellow for Seth Lane to make his wish come through. No matter what part of the world you are living, you can support wear yellow for Seth Lane cause by wearing anything yellow and sending the photos to him, or just by sharing it on the social media.
Wearing yellow is the tiniest gift you can give to this little boy. He loves Fireman Sam, and should have been out there playing with children of his age, rather, the “Bubble boy” is stuck in a hospital bed.
If you are a parent and have a child his age, you can only imagine what this challenge would mean to you, let alone the psychological effect on Seth himself whenever he watches children his age playing on TV.
When Seth was born, doctors discovered that he had no immune system, and has had to be kept in sterile, germ-free, isolation from the outside world.
After a bone marrow transplant to try and give him a normal life went wrong, he has been living in a bubble – unable to leave his hospital room for danger of picking up an infection or an illness.
