SS16 Fashion Trends Highlights

Spring and Summer 2016 (SS16 fashion trends), wow I can’t wait to see those blooming flowers and the sunshine again! Spring is the time of the year to start ridding your wardrobes of those thick woollen and dull colours. Like ants coming out of hibernation, and blooming flowers in the garden, we start to see the effect of spring on people and their behaviour.

What Should We Expect In SS16 Fashion Trends?

In addition to the three predominant trends (bold colours, prints, flowers), this season is going to be full of ruffles, stripes, 90s styles and more of very bright rich colours.
If you are a fan of the 90s style, they are making a comeback. You will also see lots of ruffles, stripes and bold colours.

For accessories, headbands, tiara if you don’t mind wearing tiara to work, and long dropping earrings will also be in the trend.

Slip On dresses are going to be a regular occurrence on the streets. Some people will probably turn their underwear into outerwear as you won’t be able to tell the difference.

The slip dress is back and looking slinkier than ever – trimmed with scalloped lingerie lace at Celine, in 90s satin or see-thru chiffon at Saint Laurent, and layered over fine knits at Pucci. With underwear as outerwear as a lead concept, SS16 is looking pretty sexy already, we’d say.

Very bright, rich and strong colours that may require you to wear your sunglasses will be available for the SS16. The patchwork designs  from Gucci (as seen in the photo opposite) make them stand out from the rest.
